Tied up opposite Hvar
The boat we are currently running is Concerto. She is a privately owned, one off designed by Warwick Yacht Designs and built by Austral/Friendship Yachts of Whangarei New Zealand as a “go anywhere” blue water cruiser.
We think that she is a brilliant yacht in which to explore as she is incredibly strong and very comfortable as well as being a bit of a ‘looker’ in harbour. Her entertainment areas are outside to enjoy alfresco dining, and inside the saloon (with almost 360 degree views) when it gets a bit colder.
Sailing-wise she is very easy and reasonably fast and also very confidence inspiring in strong winds. We’ve had her in a 50 knot + Meltemi in the Greek Cyclades and she was extremely well behaved!
Concerto also has all the usual toys that boats of this calibre enjoy including a 60hp tender and ski equipment, to the latest in satellite communications and touch screen controlled audio/visual systems.
Below is Concerto’s specifications and a link to a review written about the yacht in Pacific Yachting Magazine in Summer of 2004.
